In modern society, where economic efficiency and competitiveness take precedence over all else, factors such as authority, wealth, educational background, and specialized knowledge have become the primary yardsticks for measuring human worth.
Amidst this environment, there is a growing tendency among young people to prioritize personal pleasure and comfort. In their pursuit of status and fleeting happiness, they constantly seek the latest technology, fashion, and luxury goods, seemingly drawn into a self-centered, materialistic culture that fosters arrogance and vanity.

It appears that the value standards constructed by humans over time in response to societal changes—such as work achievements, social status, and economic power—are being substituted for the inherent value (human essence) that people naturally possess.

Now, let us compare God’s values with the values that humans have created within society.

God cares about real honesty and integrity deep inside a person, not just outward appearances.

Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Proverbs 12:22 UKJV

Modern society has become a world where lies and falsehoods run rampant as a matter of course. （YouTube, social media, etc.）

Beloved, let us love one another: for love (o. agape) is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not knows not God; for God is love. (o. agape) 1 John 4:7-8 UKJV

In modern society, individualism that prioritizes personal fulfillment and self-interest is widespread. (The “Main Character” Syndrome, Social Isolation and Mental Health)

God delights in acts filled with loving-kindness.

I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, Jeremiah 9:24 UKJV

In modern society, we frequently see instances of theft and behavior—such as the use of rude language or verbal abuse—that, far from elevating a person’s character, actually degrades it.

God values forgiveness.

If all of you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if all of you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 UKJV

Revenge stories in modern cinema are often romanticized as heroic acts, thereby influencing people’s minds.

God Opposes the Proud.

God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble. James 4:6 UKJV

In modern society, arrogance—or a borderline “conviction in oneself” and a sense of superiority (or dominance)—is often viewed as a driving force for success. In highly competitive environments, arrogance holds practical value..

The Bible is not merely a historical record, a source of moral instruction, or a book simply to be read. Understanding it is not a matter of how many times one has read it or how much general knowledge one possesses. What truly matters is the attitude of the heart when reading the Bible. Consider water being poured from a large vessel into a small one: the water flows naturally into the smaller vessel because it is positioned lower than the larger one. Similarly, to grasp the spiritual truths of the Bible, one needs a humble heart—one that is open and willing to yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If we approach the Bible with arrogance or a stubborn heart, its true message will not reach us.

The Bible teaches that spiritual truth is granted based on the state of a person’s heart, rather than their worldly status or intellect. The term “little children” signifies complete dependence, humility, and an open attitude..

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. ( Matthew 11:25 UKJV)

But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(1 Corintians 2:14 UKJV)

This means that unless the Holy Spirit shapes our spiritual perception, the deep truths of the Bible remain closed to us. When you approach the Bible with a spirit of accepting its teachings and surrendering yourself to it, you are granted the grace necessary to understand its truth.

But he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.(James 4:6 UKJV)

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (Luke 24:45 UKJV)

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:(2 Timothy 3:16 UKJV)

13 For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong food belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.(Hebrew 5:13-14 UKJV)

It explains that spiritual maturity requires time and is a process of transitioning from the “milk” of basic teachings to the “solid food” of deeper spiritual insight—insight gained through constant practice and discernment.

Starting with the simple question, “Why are there four Gospels?”, I began a personal project to create a chart comparing the four Gospels. I tried to place similar events and verses from each Gospel as close together as possible, without changing the order of the Bible, and to make the unique content of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John easier to grasp. This chart has helped me to learn about the life of Jesus as a whole.

I don’t know God’s intention for the four Gospels, but my image of the four Gospels is like viewing a single cube from four different directions (front, left and right sides, and back). Despite being written from different angles and from different authors’ perspectives, all four Gospels point to the exact same truth of God. And I felt that each one was crafted to deliver this message to everyone through its own unique expression. I believe the Gospel is not merely a report of historical facts, but a powerful testimony about Jesus.

“This is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ” (1 John 5:11)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” ( Matthew 16:16)

The public ministry of Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, teaches us many truths. These include the coming of the Kingdom of God, the miracles of repentance and healing, profound love for God and neighbor, and a walk of humility, forgiveness, and perfect honesty. Through His death on the cross and resurrection, Christ atoned for our sins and granted us the grace to partake in eternal life.

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:31)

May this chart be helpful for young people’s Bible study.

Do you know that Jesus Christ will return in the future?

I used to think that today’s younger generation only saw Jesus Christ as a classic heroic figure displayed in churches. However, recent American surveys have revealed that while membership in religious organizations and church attendance rates are declining, more than half of teenagers have a strong interest in learning about Jesus Christ, and more than three out of four want to know at least a little about him. This is fantastic!
I was just thinking of making “The Second Coming of Jesus Christ” the theme of this blog, so I’m very pleased with these results.

The Bible says: “So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” (Hebrews 9:28)

It is also written that 40 days after his resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives. The promise made at that time was, “This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:3-11)

Therefore, Jesus Christ will surely return in the near future.

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, (Revelation 1:7)

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew24:30)

If you’d like to learn more about Jesus, please leave a message in the comments section.

Don’t you think we humans are always searching for the truth? But the reality is different. In our society, facts are often distorted, intentionally or unintentionally, and presented in a way that is different from their true nature or misleading. This occurs due to a variety of factors, including political manipulation and propaganda, biased media coverage, fake news on social media, and personal cognitive biases (people’s “thinking habits” and “values” lead to distorted interpretations of information). This manifests itself in fabrications, distortions, exaggerations, and cover-ups, making it difficult to discern the truth in modern society. There are so many lies and confusion. How do the younger generation feel? What kind of freedom will people who grew up in a society where lies like this are accepted without question experience in the future?

God is truth

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. (Deuteronomy 32:4)
Therefore, putting away lying, “ Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” (Ephesians 4:25)
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. (Proverbs 12:22)

In today’s society, advances in AI technology are beginning to bring about major changes not only in the technology industry, but also in medicine, the arts, entertainment, all workplaces, and even our daily lives. It feels like the time is not far off when AI will take over human jobs. What can’t AI do? I believe there are some things only humans can do. That is praying to God with all my heart and faith. Perhaps it’s easy for an AI to create a prayer sentence and recite it aloud. But that is not a prayer from the heart, nor is it a prayer of faith. We humans can commune with God with faith that He will hear and answer our prayers.

Well, since the last good news, I have explained the message of “salvation” in seven blogs.

God, thank you for your wonderful grace, forgiveness, and the gift of eternal life. I believe I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins. I believe that He was resurrected, proving eternal life, and I accept Him as my Savior. Please fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray in Jesus’ precious name. Amen

What happens if I commit a sin after being saved?

After we receive salvation, our spirits are renewed, but we can still sin. If we do sin, we must admit our mistakes and humbly ask God for forgiveness.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1 John 1:9)

True faith, which takes salvation seriously, naturally leads us to good works, but good works are not seen as a means to salvation but rather by the change of heart and actions that demonstrate the truth of our faith.

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? (Romans6:1-2)
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3-4)

The Holy Spirit plays a key role in salvation by convicting people of sin, leading them to repentance, and sealing them as children of God when they believe in Christ.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. (1Chrointians 12:3)

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11)

Not only does the Holy Spirit convict people of sin and lead them to God, but He also guides prayer, helps them understand God’s Word, gives them wisdom, serves as a counselor and advocate in the lives of believers in Jesus Christ.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
God desires faith for salvation because it enables us to humbly accept God’s free grace, acknowledging that salvation is a gift of grace through trust in Christ’s finished work, not through merit or the ability to do good deeds. Faith reflects God’s sovereignty, enables fellowship with a God who rewards those who seek Him, and pleases God because it imputes His righteousness to us and enables us to live a life that reflects His glory. All we need to do is believe and accept Jesus as our Savior.
This will naturally lead to changes in your daily life.

even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; (Romans 3:22)

but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. (Romans 4:24-25)

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
According to Statista and the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), as of early 2025, the world will have an estimated 12,241 to 12,331 nuclear warheads in nine countries. A nuclear war would have devastating environmental consequences, potentially leading to the end of modern civilization and ultimately to the extinction of humanity. Explosions and fires could kill millions within days, and the long-term global impacts of radiation, social collapse, and economic ruin would be far more severe. For decades, we have been on the brink of nuclear war. Rather than building nuclear weapons that kill people, we could have created an environment that fosters peace. This is the world we humans have created, a result of our drift from God’s love.
