And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.(John 10:28-29)
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Ephetion 1:13-14)
What happens if I commit a sin after being saved?
After we receive salvation, our spirits are renewed, but we can still sin. If we do sin, we must admit our mistakes and humbly ask God for forgiveness.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1 John 1:9)
True faith, which takes salvation seriously, naturally leads us to good works, but good works are not seen as a means to salvation but rather by the change of heart and actions that demonstrate the truth of our faith.
Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? (Romans6:1-2)
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:3-4)
