God desires faith for salvation because it enables us to humbly accept God’s free grace, acknowledging that salvation is a gift of grace through trust in Christ’s finished work, not through merit or the ability to do good deeds. Faith reflects God’s sovereignty, enables fellowship with a God who rewards those who seek Him, and pleases God because it imputes His righteousness to us and enables us to live a life that reflects His glory. All we need to do is believe and accept Jesus as our Savior.
This will naturally lead to changes in your daily life.
even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; (Romans 3:22)
but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. (Romans 4:24-25)
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:10-13)
