Salvation (eternal life in heaven) is a gift that humans, who are born with sin, can receive by God’s grace through faith in Jesus.
Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, Jesus has forgiven our sins and made it possible for us to receive eternal life. All we have to do is receive it by faith, fully trusting in Jesus as our Savior.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16, 17)
I have created a diagram to make the overall picture of salvation simple and easy to understand. In the next post, I will explain the specific parts, including scriptures.
What does it mean to be a human being born with sin?
How can we be saved?
Why do we need a Savior?
What does it mean to do by faith?
What part does the Holy Spirit play in salvation?
Salvation is guaranteed because it is an eternal gift.
